Hi all!

I just got a new skovby table that uses soap finish over wood veneer (go figure). I have an infant and a husband who are about equally messy when they eat, so I’m really doubting the veneer will hold up. The table is quite beautiful and I would like to avoid covering up the wood with a table cloth, so I’m wondering if anyone knows whether applying A MORE WATER-RESISTANT FINISH OVER SOAP-FINISHED WOOD VENEER is possible without ruining the table. Alternatively, if anyone had experience with messy eaters on soap-finished tables, I’d welcome some words of wisdom.
