GREENSBORO, NC - A woodworking and makers collective, The Forge, in Greensboro, NC, has named Joe Rotondi executive director. The 3,700 square foot cooperative work center provides tools and machinery for 3D printing, rapid prototyping, woodworking, electronics and other fabrication activities.
The Forge was established has more than 160 members, reports the Triad Business Journal. Functioning as a business incubator, it has spun off seven patents, and formed 15 companies employing 70. Facilities include design software, 3-D printers, metal shop, lathes and woodworking tools - including tablesaws, bandsaws, routers, planers, and sanders.
