NEW JERSEYModular Closets plans to move manufacturing of its product line, including semi-custom closets, to Kernersville, North Carolina. According to a report published by the Triad Business Journal, the company, headquartered in New Jersey, purchased a 38.8-acre site in North Carolina for approximately $17 million

CEO Bernard Warman told the Business Journal that the move is due in part to the area’s workforce, manufacturing industry, and culture. “It's a great workforce, everybody we've encountered has been so wonderful and they just understand manufacturing, which is not something we're experiencing where we are right now," he said in a quote to the publication.

The relocation and expansion of Modular Closets’ manufacturing capacity will also allow the company to develop a new product line – ready-to-assemble kitchen cabinets.
