Closets Conference preview: West Palm Beach synergy

New features for the 2026 expo include expanded show hours and daily on-floor keynotes.

As the demand for high-end home organization and custom woodworking continues to grow, industry leaders are preparing to descend upon the Palm Beach County Convention Center for the 2026 Closets Conference & Expo.

Co-located with Wood Pro Florida, the three-day event, running from June 30 to July 2, is the top destination for professional remodelers, contractors, closet designers, garage renovators, and custom woodworkers. This year’s event arrives at an interesting time for the industry, as homeowners increasingly prioritize functional styles, integrated solutions, and sustainable luxury from companies with a whole-home approach.

Industry collaboration

Registration is now officially open for the event, which has a strong emphasis on cross-industry education. The 2026 program is bolstered by strategic alliances with four of the industry’s most influential organizations:

  • Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI): Bringing a focus on technical standards and high-end commercial applications.
  • American Society of Interior Designers (ASID): Bridging the gap between structural utility and high-concept aesthetics.
  • Association of Closet & Storage Professionals (ACSP): Providing certification and specialized training for home organization experts.
  • Closet Institute of America (CIA): Dedicated to independent closet companies and installation techniques.

By uniting these diverse perspectives, the show provides an overview of the whole home organization trend, from experts across the broad spectrum of the market. Attendees can expect a curated curriculum that addresses everything from sophisticated CAD software and CNC optimization to economic and design trends.

The full-day Closets Conference takes place June 30 at the Palm Beach Convention Center.

The conference kicks off on June 30 with a day-long schedule starting with a keynote by Dale Murphy, a two-time National League MVP, seven-time All-Star, member of the Atlanta Braves Hall of Fame and current managing director at Georgia Oak Partners. This will be followed by the Closets Conference Track and Wood Pro Conference Track. Along with seminars, one highlight of opening day will be a virtual tour of Quest Engineering.

Known for its cutting-edge automation and lean manufacturing processes, Quest Engineering will offer a virtual “walk-through” of its facility. Attendees can view high-speed edgebanding, robotic sorting, and “lights-out” manufacturing in real time, showcasing operational efficiency that small- to mid-sized shops can scale to their needs.

New features for the 2026 conference and expo include:

  • Expanded expo hours and dedicated non-compete times to give exhibitors more opportunities to connect with buyers.
  • Daily on-floor keynotes designed to maintain high energy and draw attendees onto the show floor.
  • Roundtable discussions during the Closets Conference will allow attendees to break into smaller, topic-focused groups for peer-to-peer learning and networking.

Celebrating excellence

Beyond the seminars, the 2026 event focuses heavily on the art of the industry. The highly anticipated Top Shelf Design Awards reception, sponsored by Rev-A-Shelf, will return to celebrate the year’s most innovative projects.

The event features plenty of opportunities for networking with other industry professionals.

These awards highlight the ingenuity of designers who transform cramped, underutilized areas into organized spaces. The reception serves as the conference’s primary networking hub, allowing independent designers to rub elbows with owners, designers, vendors, and suppliers in a high-energy, celebratory atmosphere.

Attendees will also have additional opportunities for networking at a series of special events:

  • Welcome reception: Tuesday, June 30, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Closets & Cocktails - Miami Nights: Wednesday, July 1, 8:30 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.

Expo: technology and materials

Starting July 1, the focus shifts to the expo floor, where the co-location with Wood Pro Florida creates a marketplace for machinery, components, and raw materials.

Exhibitors are expected to debut a range of 2026 trends, including integrated lighting, textured panels and materials, functional and decorative hardware, and woodworking machinery and equipment.
