I am speechless when I try to put into words what has been happening in our industry over the last several months. The way the pandemic has affected our industry has been incredibly chaotic. There are some lucky ones who are unaffected and busier than ever. On the other end of the spectrum, we hear of companies that have experienced a slow down or closed with fears of not being able to re-open. 

 

The one consistent we have experienced is the ongoing support given by our vendors, peers and yes, competitors. Ideas and resources have been being shared by companies of all sizes, from franchises to Chuck-in-a-truck. One of the greatest values of being a member of your industry association is the accessibility to like-minded professionals who are going through the same challenges. I had a three-way call the other day with two local competitors. On the call we exchanged the latest updates on the local regulations we had heard, and how we were handling things moving forward.
