Cabinets & Closets 2016 also will feature the popular "Art of Pricing Profitability" seminar,  presented again this year by the Cabinet Makers Association expert speaker, David Buchsbaum, president of Atlanta Closet & Storage Solutions. The seminar is part of a day-long Custom Cabinets Conference Track on March 22. Buchsbaum will lead this popular double session.

Closet & Remodeling Business Headliners

Keynote speakers for the event include closet luminary Lisa Adams, president of LA Closet Design; and famed custom cabinetry builder John McDonald of Semihandmade Cabinets.

Adams, who starred in the HGTV special "Million Dollar Closets," launched LA Closet Design in 2007 with the intention of revolutionizing the concept of closets. Since then, a roster of celebrities, designers, architects and homeowners of all stripes have engaged her services to create customized, often high tech and environmentally friendly wardrobe spaces that add real value to the home, improve a homeowners living experience and add style and flair to what is one of the most important spaces in a house.

McDonald, a former Hollywood screenwriter, is the founder and president of Semihandmade. He has established a thriving business - and created a new category - with high-end custom cabinetry doors milled to match IKEA cabinetry catalog.

2016 Expo

Not only does the Cabinets & Closets Conference & Expo offer opportunities to learn and network, attendees also have a chance to see the latest machinery and supplies targeted directly to the closets and cabinet professional. The Expo features a dynamic mix of cabinet and woodworking machinery, CAD/CAM software, cabinet and closets hardware, wood components and much more including on-the-floor informational presentations and demonstrations.

Awards Reception

Winners of Woodworking Network's design awards -- 2016 Best in Wood and 2016 Top Shelf Closet Design Awards -- will be celebrated during the 2016 Cabinets & Closets Conference & Expo at a gala awards reception on March 23. Best in Wood (formerly known as Custom Woodworking Design Portfolio) Awards are given annually to honor custom woodworkers for their outstanding craftsmanship. And the Top Shelf Closet Design Awards are given annually to honor designers for their creative closet and home organizational designs. The deadline to enter Top Shelf is January 15, 2016.
