Cabinet sales again drop YOY, up over prior month: KCMA March report

RESTON, Va. – Continuing the trend from last month, March cabinet sales improved over February figures, but were down compared to the year prior, with all three segments reporting year-over-year losses for the month, according to the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association's March Trend of Business report

Responding companies reported overall sales of $189.920 million for March 2026, a decrease of 7.7% from the year prior. Custom sales were down 8.6% to $49.788 million, while semi-custom dropped 7.6% to $112.251 million  and stock sales fell 6.7%, to $27.880 million. Respondents reported a cabinet quantity for the month of 502,335 down 6.7% compared to March 2025 figures.

Once again, however, survey respondents reported increases in March for all three segments compared to February figures. Custom sales rose 15.1%, semi-custom grew 16.6%, and stock sales were up 2.3%, while cabinet quantity increased 13.7% during the time period.

Estimated sales by responding companies for March year to date were $512.212 million, and cabinet quantity was 1.348 million.

The Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA) represents kitchen cabinet and bath vanity manufacturers and key suppliers of goods and services to the industry. KCMA has been compiling and reporting industry sales data for more than 40 years.
