LAS VEGAS — AWFS Vegas opened with a slow but steady crowd Wednesday morning, as woodworkers from across North America, and the world, came to Las Vegas to view new equipment and supply technology.

Although the projected attendance is down compared to past shows, those exhibitors interviewed said the quality of the visitors is high, as wood products manufacturers look for ways to improve their productivity, profitability and competitiveness in the global market.
