Atlantic Building Components to build North Carolina facility
MONCKS CORNER, S.C. -- Atlantic Building Components & Services Inc., a manufacturer of wood trusses and building components for the construction industry, will locate a new manufacturing facility in North Carolina.
The company will invest $6 million in a facility in the town of Fairmont. The project is expected to create 105 jobs.

Simonson's lumber gets hacked
SAINT CLOUD, Minn. -- Customers of Simonson Lumber have been warned that on or about April 9, 2022, the company was hacked. Files were stolen in an attempt to extort the company.
The company said that there was unauthorized access into the Company's IT environment which triggered its security protocols.
Although Simonson's investigation efforts remain ongoing, it is possible that the information pertaining to some of the company's employees and consumers may have been affected.

DeFehr Furniture closing Winnipeg plant, hundreds to be laid off
DeFehr Furniture is shutting down a Winnipeg production plant, and more than 200 workers will be looking for work.
In a notice posted to its website this week, DeFehr said it will end case goods manufacturing at its facility at 125 Furniture Park this summer. The move will affect 224 employees, the company said.
