Kohler Enters Custom Tailored Vanity Business

KOHLER, WI –  Kohler has entered the bathroom cabinetry and vanity business, providing a natural brand extension that is also a platform for its sinks and plumbing fixtures. Kohler's Tailored Vanity collection, with five vanity design styles with customizable drawer and door configurations, hardware, organizational wood components, shelving, accessories, and selections in color and finish, as well as countertops and sinks.

"The launch of the vanity program is an important step for Kohler as we expand the scope of our business," says Jeff Mayerl, Kohler furniture product manager. "The goal of our new collection is to guide homeowners, whether on their own or with the assistance of a design professional, through the customization of their entire vanity space."

Kohler Tailored Vanity Collection includes five styles: Poplin, Damask, Jacquard, Jute, and Marabou. Customers choose elements in four steps:

• Exterior: multiple vanity styles, sizes, configurations, installations, and wood finishes

• Interior: integrated electric outlets, bamboo storage trays, dividers, shelves, drawers

• Top: ceramic, enameled iron, or solid surface in multiple sizes, shapes, and colors

• Components: finish-matched mirrors, sconces, hardware, bridges, lap drawers

Says Mayerl, "Simple luxuries like electric outlets that are integrated into the vanity make a huge difference. Electric toothbrushes and rechargeables can now be stored inside the cabinet within reach, reducing countertop clutter."

Kohler Co. operates 50 manufacturing locations worldwide, producing kitchen and bath products as well as furniture and cabinetry for the hospitality industry.
