3D Woodworking Design Software

SketchList introduces SketchList 3D woodworking design software for the MAC. SketchList can be used as a sales tool and as a shop planning aid.  It offers  custom woodworkers the ability to show prospective clients a high quality 3D image of the proposed project and  to create models by inserting three dimensional virtual boards onto the screen. The boards can be sized, moved, and shaped just like the work was being done in the shop. SketchList 3D is specifically designed for cabinet making and furniture building. It integrates the functions of joinery, door and drawer placement, and cutting holes and contours. When a design is changed the parts list, purchase list, optimized parts layout diagrams and shop drawings are automatically adjusted.  Models of entertainment units, wall offices, book cases, desks and kitchens can easily and quickly be designed with SketchList 3D, says the company. Changes to the design are instant and different variations of a design can be saved.  Minimum system requirements are a  MAC computer with a Core2Duo Processor, 4 GB of RAM , Nvidia/Ati GPU, and 60 MB of free hard disk space.  Initial registration requires an Internet connection. SketchList 3D also runs on Windows based computers and project files can be moved from one platform to another.
