WMS 2025 preview video: Dynabrade’s robotic sanding cell

TORONTO — Dynabrade will showcase its Automated Panel Sanding Door Cell at the Woodworking Machinery & Supply Conference and Expo, November 12-14 at the Toronto Congress Centre.

Dynabrade says the robotic sanding cell can process a panel in 1-2 minutes. The system’s Laser-based structured light 3D vision ensures high accuracy. The Active Force Control intelligently applies the amount of abrasive pressure to the panel, imitating the sensitivity of an artisan. Automatic tool changing supports both square and orbital vacuum sanders for smooth multi-level surfaces as well as small internal corners.

The cell is ISO-certified for safe human interaction. It meets both ISO 10218-2 and PHSR Standards Laser-Based 3D Vision. Dynabrade adds that the cell requires “minimal” operator training.
