TORONTO — Conestoga College, home to one of North America’s most prestigious woodworking programs, will exhibit at the Woodworking Machinery & Supply Conference. The three-day show takes place November 12-14 at the Toronto Congress Centre.
Conestoga students learn foundational skills like setting up and operating machinery, laminating, and finishing in the program’s lab that features a variety of classical and advanced woodworking machinery. By the time they graduate they are taught project management of kitchen cabinet and architectural millwork jobs while also being exposed to plant layout, quality control and computer-aided drafting.
Students also participate in the Ontario Cabinetmaker Apprenticeship program, helping prepare them for woodworking careers.
