TORONTO — The Wood Manufacturing Council (WMC) and the Woodworking Machinery & Supply Conference & Expo (WMS) are partnering once again to host the second WMS Student Day on Friday, November 14, 2025, at the Toronto Congress Centre.
WMS Student Day aims to introduce high school and post-secondary woodworking students to the cutting-edge technology, software, and materials shaping the woodworking industry. The event will also showcase the diverse and rewarding career paths available within the sector. Instructors will have the opportunity to expand their industry knowledge and network with suppliers, woodworking professionals, and fellow educators.
The WMC will connect with numerous high schools and post-secondary institutions within driving distance of the Toronto Congress Centre, offering free admission to WMS 2025 for eligible students and their instructors.
"WMS Student Day is a crucial initiative for the future of our industry," said Rich Christianson, conference director of WMS 2025. "We need to inspire the next generation of woodworkers and show them the incredible potential of a career in this field. This event allows us to demonstrate how innovation and technology are transforming woodworking, creating exciting and fulfilling opportunities."

WMS 2025, taking place November 12-14, will feature a comprehensive exhibition of woodworking equipment and supplies, along with free educational sessions at the WMS Live Stage covering technology, management, and industry trends.
