Set design and retail fixture builder Bednark, Inc. adopts pushbutton CNC

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Bednark Inc., which carries on a business building sets for photographers and filmmakers, recently added the Thermwood Cut Ready Cut Center, an easy-to-operate, pushbutton controlled CNC router. Michael Bednark explains how it fits his operation.

Bednark, which has produced sets for clients like Spike Lee and David Bowie and high-end agency photographers, describes itself as a "premier design and fabrication studio powered by creativity, technology and big ideas. We collaborate with event companies, agencies, corporate clients, and set designers to build cutting edge brand experiences. Bednark is founded on the principle that execution and craftsmanship are the building blocks to happy clients. Measure twice, cut once."

Bednark recently shot the official Team USA Basketball team portrait with the amazing Urban NYC production team and the legendary photographer Danny Clinch. The shoot took place in a Boys & Girls club in Manhattan. "We designed, built, stained and distressed  the backdrop wall you see here. It is 40-foot long and made of reclaimed wood from an old garage in upstate New York," Bednark says. www.bednark.com
