I have never worked with burls! A couple weeks ago I was in northern California and came across many Manzanita burls while I was out gathering my cane stock. So I gathered as much of that burl I could because I had heard that its sought after, and is a unique form of wood, to make fine crafts and art works. I come to Woodworking Network looking for advice on how to stabilize that burl. I have gotten some advice like boil it, use Pentacryl or Anchorseal, of all these suggestions can take some time to stabilize them, however I'm looking to try to use this burl as soon as I can. So I come here to hear from the experts on how to proceed thanks for you time and advice. Your help would be very much appreciated The Natural Bent Cane maker Marshel Bent.
