The quality of panels, doors, and furniture elements depends on the condition of their edges. Unlike traditional 2-D optical measurement methods, EdgeInspect from Fagus-GreCon captures the three-dimensional structure of the edges. EdgeInspect uses lasers, creating a three-dimensional image of the edge. 

The company says the GreCon EdgeInspect detects the most diverse types of defects, such as edge chipping, missing or too short edges, as well as dents, while being unaffected by color or surface structure variations.
