IMA America introduces the BIMA Cutting Center, a fully automatic machine designed for cutting large panels on a minimum of floor space.  The Cutting Center allows custom production with high productivity plus economic optimization through stepped cuts, says the company. The machine is capable of producing a small amount of waste chips, without additional third cuts on downstream machinery, in a fully automated process, says the company. It is designed to offer material-efficient processing, fully automatic tool change and waste reduction with almost no impact on capacity. Other benefits, according to the manufacturer, include work-holding without a spoil board, processing of small panel rests and fully automatic cleaning of the vacuum table. BIMA Cutting Centers are available in 330, 430 and 600 sizes with an 8-spindle tool changer and an automatic vacuum setup table with 8-10 double vacuum pods.
