Timber Products Co. offers RhinoCoat antimicrobial prefinished panels. Timber’s RhinoCoat panels are treated with a BioCote™ silver ion preservative specifically formulated to mitigate the growth of certain microbes to protect the structural integrity of the panels. RhinoCoat antimicrobial panels inhibit the growth of microbes such as bacteria and fungus which may cause odor, degradation, discoloration, decay and staining of the panels, the company says. Panels are available up to 4’ x 10’ and in thicknesses from 5/32” up to 1-1/2.” Any veneer species Timber offers can be processed and available core options range from veneer core to particleboard core and beyond. The panels are also available as FSC certified.

Timber’s RhinoCoat panels are suited for cabinets, furniture, drawers, interior shelving and additional low-wear applications. It can be manufactured into products to serve industries such as commercial office space, residential housing, and furniture manufacturers. The company notes RhinoCoat antimicrobial panels do not protect users against viruses, germs, bacteria or other disease organisms. The product should always be cleaned thoroughly by users before and after every use.
