Young Manufacturing introduces the RetroRiser stair risers featuring solid hardwood construction, which provides stronger, more stable performance with superior finishing properties, says the company. RetroRiser can be used as a companion product with the Young RetroTread to provide a new look for a stairway, adds the company, and the retrofitted material is installed over an existing riser and/or tread. For installation, cut to size, apply urethane based adhesive and tack in place with finish nails, says Young. Risers feature solid hardwood construction, are edge-glued, kiln dried, with staves hand matched for color. They are surfaced on four sides and sanded on the face. The risers are available in Red Oak, White Oak, Hard Maple, White Primed Poplar, Hickory and Brazilian Cherry in dimensions of 11/32” thickness, 7 ½” width, and lengths of 36”, 42” and 48”. All hardwood materials are made in the USA.
