Caster Concepts and PARTsolutions have collaborated on the first customizable CAD designer for industrial caster downloads, which gives users the power to design and create, says the company. The tool is designed to streamline communications while providing a standard or custom product tailored to a customer’s needs. Caster Concepts complete line of off-she-shelf products were converted into an easy-to-access online catalog with 2D drawings and 3D CAD models. The 3D CAD models are available for download in more than 150 formats. This enables users to quickly find and configure the part they need for a design, without having to compromise design quality by using a neutral CAD file, says Caster Concepts. Caster Concepts and PARTsolutions created an online product configurator for non-standard products, which enables users to build a custom caster or wheel based on predetermined parameters. The Caster Configurator will help users and their customers decrease design and manufacturing time, adds the company. Caster Concepts’ products are designed to withstand impact, corrosion, temperature and industrial chemical environments.
