Outwater Plastics Industries has expanded its collection of wood, fiberglass and aluminum architectural columns to include CastStone Columns, a new series manufactured using a patent-pending process comprising of non-porous inorganic composite fiberglass reinforced resins, marble dust and color impregnated, fade resistant color molded to form maintenance free, load bearing interior and exterior columns. The columns are impervious to inclement weather and insects, says the company, and they provide the look and feel of real stone. The columns are available in ivory, sand and slate gray in round, non-tapered plain and square, non-tapered plain, fluted and raised panel formats in a variety of sizes. The columns do not require priming or painting and can be cut to size and installed using traditional techniques and tools. Unlike wood columns, the CastStone Columns do not require ventilation, says the company. Tuscan Caps and Bases are included. Outwater Plastics Industries, Inc. will be in Booth 1569 at IWF 2012.
