The Sinamics S210 servo-drive system from Siemens comprises a digitally native drive with wide range of corresponding motors and gearboxes. The drive offers DC link coupling on 3-phase units for increased power efficiency on multi-axis applications. Corresponding Simotics' synchronous motors feature high-resolution 22- or 26-bit absolute encoders, single or multi-turn.

Study: Wood industry releases 'more carbon than Russia'

A new paper in Nature by World Resources Institute researchers published online on July 5 finds that the world’s yearly wood harvests are likely to emit 3.5 to 4.2 billion tons of carbon dioxide equivalent per year, more than 10% of recent global annual emissions of carbon dioxide.

More than 500 architects and designers complete DHA courses

In May, DHA partnered with GreenCE, an online platform that provides education on sustainable design, to deliver a course that highlights the beauty, sustainability, and climate benefits of decorative hardwoods. By the end of June, more than 500 architects and designers had already completed the course, which qualifies for continuing education credit at the American Institute of Architects, American Institute of Building Design, and Green Building Certification.
