Local reports said that Merit Management Group, a Johnston, Missouri-based private equity firm, has acquired Swan Creek Cabinetry, a Boone, Iowa, company known for its handcrafted cabinetry and millwork. Swan Creek is the second custom cabinetry company acquired by the firm.

CANDOR, N.C. — Braxton Culler, a Classic Home company, announced October 20, that the restart of operations at a former Klaussner Furniture manufacturing facility in Candor, North Carolina, has commenced. Complete operations are due to begin under the newly formed Peachtree Works in the "very near future," with one of the three facilities "ready-to-go," and was originally scheduled to begin operations on Nov. 1.
