Valued at more than $25,000, the cabinets were being delivered through the Shoal Creek Restoration Project and other programs, which help those without insurance money to rebuild their homes, according to local media reports.

Bob Hoover, a sales representative for Smart Cabinetry, who lives in nearby Anniston, let CEO Marlin Miller of Smart Cabinetry know of the need for assistance in the area, where a powerful tornado cut an eight-mile-long swath, destroying over 300 of the 640 homes in its path.

"He said he felt compelled to do something," Hoover told one local paper, which said that Smart Cabinetry is an Amish, faith-based company. Jason Wood, owner of Trinity Cabinets in Birmingham, AL, and Jay Young, the owner of Toulmin Cabinetry in Tuscaloosa, AL, were also among those who helped channel aid to those in need.
