
Pella Corp., a manufacturer of windows and doors, earned its fifth annual Energy Star Partner of the Year 2011 award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Energy (DOE).
The Energy Star Partner award recognizes Pella for its commitment to manufacturing energy-efficient products and educating consumers about them.
In addition, Pella earned Energy Star's Sustained Excellence Award 2011 for the third straight year, recognizing its commitment to managing energy use and promoting Energy Star products and practices within its organization.
âPella has earned EPAâs highest Energy Star award - the 2011 Sustained Excellence Award,â said Elizabeth Craig, acting director of EPAâs Office of Atmospheric Programs. âPellaâs long term leadership and commitment to energy efficiency demonstrates the types of accomplishments that we can all achieve in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and protecting our global environment.â
