CORVALLIS, OR -  Marys River Lumber, which laid off many of its 220 workers Aug. 12, will continue its production slowdown indefinitely.

“It’s a temporary curtailment,” president Brad Kirkbride told the Corvallis Gazette-Times. "But we’re measuring it in weeks, not months.”

Marys River Lumber is one of the country’s largest manufacturers of Western red cedar lumber, siding, paneling, decking, fencing and trim. It has mills near its Corvallis, OR headquarters (sawmill, millwork, planer), as well as in Philomath, OR (sawmill and dry kilns) and Montesano, WA (sawmill, millwork, planer, dry kilns).
