COSTA MESA, Calif. — 526 Media Group acquired Lumber Blue Book, the producer of lumber-specific credit and business data and content.

526 Media Group has been rooted in the lumber and building materials industry since its inception. The company publishes The Merchant Magazine, founded in 1922, sister publication Building Products Digest, contractor magazine Deck Specialist, composite-panel publication Surface & Panel, as well as related websites, digital newsletters, and other digital offerings.
Lumber Blue Book provides credit-reporting services, marketing data, and other resources for lumber professionals, including The Lumber Newswire. Lumber Blue Book was launched in 2009 .
The sale includes all lumber industry-related assets, all of which will continue without change or interruption under the name Red Book Lumber Data.
