WASHINGTON – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced that Schylling Assoc. Inc. of Rowley, MA, is recalling approximately 66,000 spinning tops and 4,700 tin pails because the surface paints on the wooden handles contain excessive levels of lead.
The tops are painted with Thomas and Friends, Curious George or a circus scene. The pails are painted with Thomas and Friends, Curious George or solid red. The products were manufactured in China and sold nationwide between July 2001 and July 2002.
