According to the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association’s monthly Trend of Business Survey, participating cabinet manufacturers reported an increase in cabinet sales of 0.9 percent for June 2018 compared to the same month in 2017.
Stock cabinet sales experienced the only increase at 3.6 percent. Semi-custom sales decreased 1.6 percent and custom sales decreased 0.7 percent compared to June 2017.
Year to date cabinetry sales through June 2018 are up just 1 percent according to participating manufacturers. Stock sales are up 2.1 percent; semi-custom decreased 0.7 percent; and custom sales are up 3.2 percent so far this year.
Survey participants include stock, semi-custom, and custom companies. KCMA member companies represent combined sales of approximately 70 percent of the U.S. kitchen cabinet and bath vanity market.
