Items disappear into thin air when placed inside new cabinet

The purpose of cabinets has traditionally been to store things for later use. But a new cabinet totally turns that notion on its head.

The new Deleter line of cabinets from up-and-coming firm Vanish Woodworks does exactly what its name suggests: Completely removes items from physical existence.

"The Deleter cabinet is perfect for people who have a lot of junk laying around and a garbage can that's too small to fit all of it," says company founder and lead product developer Brian Hayes.

Simply place an item you no longer want - it could be junk mail, remnants of a leftover meal, your crying toddler, etc. - and close the door. Open the door after a few seconds and you'll find the item deleted from reality.

Despite earning unanimous acclaim from several environmentalist groups, the cabinet has yet to make a big impression on Kickstarter, where it has raised just $30 on a $500,000 goal.
