- On the eve of interzum's opening, optimism runs high for recovery in the woodworking industry. One of two woodworking industry mega-shows in Germany (it's followed next week by the machinery-focused Ligna in Hannover) interzum 2011 fills seven giant halls at the Koeln Messe in Cologne, Germany. More than 1,400 exhibitors are expected to attract over 50,000 attendees.
interzum organizers have issued a number of announcements highlighting features on wood interior industry and furnishing trends in the run up to the show's opening tomorrow:
The woodworking event anticipates more than 50,000 international visitors.
The wood-focused event will display furniture and other products with a natural appearance.
At interzum, May 25-28 in Cologne, Germany, lightweight furniture construction, with built-in LED lighting and electronics, and components produced with reduced weight, will be among the trends
