The IF-8500 CNC drilling center is a vertical panel processing system that can rout, drill, mill and groove wood panels.

LANCASTER, Pa. - CNC machining centers, edgebanders and other woodworking equipment manufactured by INMES of Brazil will be shown for the first time at a U.S. trade event: Wood Pro Expo, Oct. 17 and 18.

INMES will exhibit with its U.S. distributor framingsupplies.com of Hendersonville, N.C., at WPE booth #214.

William Day, president of framingsupplies.com, said he plans to run continuous demonstrations of several INMES machines throughout the two-day show. INMES panel processing machines also will be featured in the WPE Running Machine Program.

INMES products that will be displayed at WPE include:

The IF-8500 CNC drilling center is a vertical panel processing system that can rout, drill, mill and groove wood panels up to 33.5 in. high and 118 in. long. The IF 8500 is equipped with a 7-in. touch screen as well as a bar code reader to call up a part program. Also featured is a five-change tool head.

The FF-325 Plus sliding table saw has a digital system to adjust cutting angle more quickly and precisely. The 375mm (14.76 in.) long sliding table is made of extruded aluminum with a protective anodized coating. The FF-325’s fixed table stop allows an opening up to 1,300mm (51.18 inches) with a quick locking system.  The saw’s fence can be adjusted to avoid contact with the saw blade when cutting at a 45-degree angle. The saw blade is powered by a 5.5-hp motor and the scoring blades by a ¾-hp motor.

The IC 1000 edgebander, which will be demonstrated with an optional auto feeder and roller tables for infeed and outfeed of parts. The IC-1000’s electronic system puts the edgebander into standby mode after 15 minutes of non-use, automatically lowering the glue pot temperature to prevent the glue from burning. It has a 3-phase motor, pressure roller, glue adjustment and easy access to the glue pot.

The IM 30MP miter saw with a quick-adjust rotating table can cut wood or aluminum mouldings. It features a support arm, pneumatic material clamping system, base cabinet with dust collector and moulding stop. The saw has a cutting capacity of 3-1/8-in. high by 4-1/8-in. wide.

The IM 300PL double miter saw has pedal-activate pneumatic hold-downs, a pair of 1.5-hp saw motors and access through the front panel to simplify blade changes. Other features include moulding measuring scale to facilitate repeat cuts, dust collections and pivoting saw head. The saw has a cutting capacity of 3-3/16-in. high by 5-5/8-in. wide.
