Herman Miller’s refreshed brand identity

On January 2, 2024, Herman Miller announced a new brand identity led by Brooklyn-based design agency Order. The rebrand is a playful update on a design classic and is Herman Miller's first rebrand in over two decades.
The rebrand includes:

  •  Helvetica-style typeface
  • Slightly different logo
  • Slightly different color palette
  • A wordmark set in Söhne, designed by Klim Type Foundry
  • Reimagined distinctive M logo, originally created by Irving Harper in 1946

The new look pays tribute to Herman Miller's history with the Helvetica font and recalls the modernist aesthetics introduced by graphic designer John Massey in the late 1960s.
