TILLSONBURG, ON — Fire caused an estimated $2 million in damage to Pioneer Cabinetry, gutting the Tillsonburg, ON-based custom cabinet shop. According to a report in the Tillsonburg News, police determined that the May 14 fire at the 8,000-square-foot facility did “not appear to be suspicious.”
The fire, which destroyed the factory, is thought to have started in the paint room, according to a report by CTV. No injuries were reported.
Founded in 2001 by Art Kranendonk, the family-owned company produced custom kitchen cabinetry using a combination of high-technology and handcraftsmanship. Pioneer Cabinetry also manufactured fireplaces and cabinetry for other rooms in the house.
