CORRIGAN, Texas — Texas Gov. Greg Abbott headlined ceremonies celebrating the grand opening of the newly expanded Corrigan oriented strand board mill. The facility is being billed as the biggest OSB manufacturing operation in North America.

The mill reportedly has the capacity to produce 1.3 billion square feet of product each year, equivalent to what’s needed for 125,000 homes.

Corrigan OSB, L.L.C. is a separate limited liability company in Texas licensed to use the RoyOMartin trademark, as modified. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Martco LLC. Martco inaugerated Corrigan OSB in 2017.

“We are proud that Texas is home to a booming manufacturing sector,” Abbott said. “Corrigan OSB’s expanded manufacturing facility will be the largest OSB facility in all of North America. It will provide needed, high-quality building materials to Texas’ growing economy. Thanks to our strong manufacturing sector, ‘Made in Texas’ has never been a bigger brand. This $211 million expansion of this facility is an important investment in the future of Corrigan and an important piece in the economy of a bigger, better Texas.”

The new mill was three years in the making. In 2021, Texas awarded Corrigan OSB LLC a Texas Enterprise Fund grant of $278,000, which included a $3,000 Veteran Created Job Bonus.

\Corrigan OSB produces StructWalXl panels for seismic areas, TuffStrandXL extended length panels, TuffTier OSB sub-flooring, and WindBrace panels for hurricane-prone areas.
