BONITA SPRINGS, FL - The 2015 Composite Panel Association Spring Meeting, which began Sunday here in Bonita Springs, FL, takes place among an improving business climate and buoyant economic reports for housing, construction and remodeling.

CPA marketing manager Allyson O’Sullivan says it is the gathering's  highest attendance since 2007.  The CPA membership includes 173 companies from 3M to Valspar, Willamette and Wilsonart.

CPA sponsors members only annual meetings each spring and fall. The events feature speakers and educational workshops on substantive industry issues with open exchanges among panel manufacturers around laboratory testing, quality certification, standards and technical manufacturing issues, as well as CARB and other environmental matters affecting panel manufacturers. During CPA committee and business meetings the group develops policies and programs. 

CPA also sponsors  American National Standards having a wide impact on wood products manufacturing: ANSI A208.1-2009 Particleboard; ANSI A208.2-2009 Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) for Interior Applications; ANSI A135.4-2012 Basic Hardboard; ANSI A135.5-2012 Prefinished Basic Paneling; ANSI A135.6-2012 Engineered Wood Siding; ANSI A135.7-2012 Engineered Wood Trim.

Bill volunteers for Foinse Research Station, a biological field station staddling the border of Ireland and Northern Ireland, one of more than 200 members of the Organization of Biological Field Stations.
