â Bush Business Furniture says it is approved to sell to the U.S. Navy within the continental U.S. The global manufacturer of case goods office furniture and the commercial division of Bush Industries says the five-year deal lets Bush compete for Navy contracts in two categories: worksurfaces/workstations, and filing and storage cabinets.
"The Navy BPA opens BBF to even more sales opportunities in a market in which weâve never competed previously,â said Jim Sherbert, CEO of Bush Industries.
Purchase approvals by the U.S. military are highly sought by office furnishings manufacturers, and can be lucrative. Last month HON announced it had been awarded a five-year blanket purchase contract by the Navy.
Separately, BBF says it is preparing to showcase all of its commercial product lines at NeoCon 2011, June 13-15, in Chicago on the 7th Floor, Showroom No. 4102.
Bush Industries, Inc. manufacturers case goods and ready-to-assemble furniture for office and home applications through two North American divisions â BBF (it was rebranded last year) and Bush Furniture, along with the Rohr division in Germany and its China operations.
