Authorities investigate serious logging accident in B.C.

CHERRYVILLE, B.C. - Authorities are investigating the nature of a "serious" logging accident at a lumber mill in British Columbia.
 
An unnamed 31-year-old man was hurt at a logging site February 12. A spokesperson for WorkSafe B.C. - British Columbia's version of OSHA - told Canada's InfoNews that officers were summoned to the site soon after the injury occurred. The victim was transported to the nearest hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
 
WorkSafeBC is investigating how the incident occurred. We will keep you updated as more information comes in.
