American Woodmark Corp. Names New CEO

WINCHESTER, VA  -- American Woodmark Corporation (NASDAQ: AMWD), named Cary Dunston, President and COO, its fourth CEO in its 35 years. He succeeds Kent Guichard who remains non-executive Chairman of the Board. Dunston joined the Company in 2006 as Senior Vice President, Manufacturing.

"We have been preparing our senior management team for the orderly transition, said Guichard.  "Transferring the full responsibilities of CEO to Cary is the next step."

Since 2013, Dunston has led an internal effort called "2019 Vision," remaking American Woodmark's operations. He joined the it in 2006 as Senior VP, Manufacturing and was promoted to Executive VP, Operations in 2012; became  COO in 2013, and President in 2014.

American Woodmark Corp. manufactures and distributes kitchen cabinets and vanities for the remodeling and new home construction markets. Its products are sold on a national basis directly to home centers, major builders and through a network of independent distributors.  The Company presently operates nine manufacturing facilities and seven service centers across the country.
