KBIS: KraftMaid introduces new finish options

ANN ARBOR, MI – KraftMaid Cabinetry offers homeowners more options with the launch of nearly 32 new stains, paints and patinas. The finishes help homeowners express their distinct style and achieve looks—from sleek and modern to classic and traditional to casual and comfortable.

“These new finishes provide the options we know today’s homeowner is looking for,” says Mark Ayers, vice president of marketing for KraftMaid Cabinetry. “No matter your style preference, you’re sure to find something you love in this collection.”

New paint colors include Cardinal, a classic red that complements any design; Sage, which creates an enduring neutral that balances any room; Mushroom, which blends well with today’s tile and countertop options; and Onyx, now available on doors and cabinetry, to add a touch of timeless glamour to your kitchen or bathroom.

“People love painted cabinetry, and these options work in any home,” says Sarah Reep, director of designer relations and education. “We chose timeless looks and updated them to offer people a fresh perspective.”

Classic and Creative Colors

The stains in the new line include Parchment, a crisp neutral that bridges the gap between whitewash and natural finishes, and Rye, a mid--?tone brown stain with a green undertone. Rounding out the KraftMaid color palette, this finish has a clarity that brings out the depth and dimension of maple, oak, cherry, birch and hickory.

Available exclusively through KraftMaid showrooms is the Vintage Patina finish. This finish is an evolution of KraftMaid’s vintage technique, creating an heirloom appearance that references fine furniture in its appeal.

Another offering in the new collection are paints with a glaze feature. They use two hand--?detailed techniques that make every door unique while creating a highlight layer that adds visual depth and interest to corners and recesses. Similar to the paint with glaze is a stain technique with a glaze detail that softens the initial stain color. Stains with a glaze also create a highlight layer to add visual depth and interest to corners and recesses.

The last option in the collection is Quartersawn Wood. Preferred by furniture makers, Quartersawn Wood is making a comeback as a top choice for many customers. This option showcases the character and dimension of the wood, providing a fresh, clean and modern aesthetic to the space you are designing.

“We’re thrilled to offer an expanded collection to meet the needs of homeowners everywhere,” says Ayers. “We’re confident this line will be well received, as it’s exactly what our customers say they want.”
