The 9th International Design Award, organised by Hettich and REHAU, focuses on the theme of “Beyond the edge!”. With immediate effect, students can register for the competition at www.internationaldesignaward.com.

In the latest International Design Award to be launched, Hettich and REHAU invite design and architecture students across the globe to take a different look at home and work environments and enrich them with intelligent furniture that tomorrow’s user wouldn’t want to be without. Taking into account the product portfolios of Hettich and REHAU, the competition is looking for furniture designs that involve established processes and technologies.

With immediate effect, students can register for the competition on the official www.internationaldesignaward.com website and post their designs by 31 January 2013. An international panel of expert judges will then examine and assess all designs.

The International Design Award

Fostering talents and demonstrating trends and visions of tomorrow through fresh thinking – this is the declared objective of the International Design Award that is staged every two years by Hettich and REHAU as the companies organising it. The competition invites design students all over the world to create forward-pointing, innovative and unusual solutions in furniture design and furniture-making.
