Dodds To Introduce New Dovetail Machines at IWF 2012GRAND RAPIDS, MI - Alexander Dodds, the recognized leader in dovetail machinery and assembly equipment will be showcasing the newest in dovetail drawer machinery technology at IWF 2012. Dodds equipment, Made in America since 1882, will be demonstrating dovetail machines that are easier to operate, greatly reduce operator error and waste and utilize various advanced technology components to speed production and accuracy.

The SE-1 CNC-D dovetail machine will be introduced for the first time at IWF 2012. This model is a totally re-designed CNC system with an extremely user friendly operator interface touch screen. The system is designed to alert the operator of any misalignments or positioning errors prior to cutting any parts.

Add to that the built-in flexibility of being able to cut standard dovetails, multi-width dovetails, box joints, and optional French dovetails. With a high production rate of 40-60 drawers an hour, or more, every shop can profit from this newly redesigned dovetail machine.

The SE-1CNC-PS dovetail machine includes everything found in the SE-1CNC-D model but also features fully programmable side stops which automatically move into position once the part description is loaded into the touch screen. This machine is completely servo motor controlled for precise accuracy time after time. Features include dramatic reductions in user errors, easy to operate, faster set-up times, and consistent quality production.

Dodds will also show and demonstrate the economical SE-1-A, a single spindle manual machine for the smaller shop who wants control of producing their own dovetail drawers in-house. This easy-to-use dovetail machine is easily moved around the shop floor and will outperform hand-made dovetail cuts using routers, jigs and fixtures every day of the week. Users can produce dovetail drawers faster, more precise and with less set-up time making short runs less labor intensive, quicker and more profitable.

Stop by booth # 5813 and find out more about the entire line of Dodds dovetail equipment including single and multiple-spindle machines, reconditioned multi-spindle machines, gluers, clamps, double-end machines and ‘specialty’ machines.
