Small fitting, major impact. All you can see is the small piston head at the top of the refrigerator

Hoechst, Austria – Austrian fittings manufacturer Blum now also offers its Servo-Drive electric motion support system for sophisticated individual applications. New! The electric motion support system for conventional built-in refrigerators and freezers. With appropriate planning, it can also be used for dishwashers. The individual application for lift systems and waste pull-outs has already proven its worth.

Certain applications, such as wall cabinet lift systems, waste pull-outs and fridge/freezers and dishwashers are ideally suited for Blum’s electric opening support system, for these are the areas that are most used in kitchens. Blum now offers individual Servo-Drive applications for these kitchen areas so that users need not do without enhanced user ease – particularly when opening handle-less fronts. The three different individual applications can easily be retrofitted and combined with each other – depending on the equipment of a kitchen.

NEW! Servo-Drive flex for fridge/freezers and dishwashers

The door of the integrated fridge/freezer opens at a single touch and stays open for a short period of time so the user can open it fully. If the door has been opened accidentally, it will close again automatically within a couple of seconds. Servo-Drive flex also has a feature that stops accidental opening. In other words, the door will not open if the user just leans against it. Servo-Drive flex opens refrigerator and freezer doors with fixed hinges (i.e. doors are rigidly fixed to furniture fronts) and those with sliding hinges (doors are fixed to fronts by means of a sliding hinge). To further enlarge the trigger area, the system can be equipped with a wireless switch and receiver (optional feature). Servo-Drive flex can also be used to open dishwasher fronts, provided certain aspects are taken into account during planning. Assembly is tool free and quick and simple.

Servo-Drive for Aventos – enhanced user ease for wall cabinet lift systems

Lift systems fold up, lift up or swing up and over to give users clear visibility and direct access to all contents – preferably right up to the ceiling. To ensure that you can easily close fronts again, Blum recommends using Servo-Drive for Aventos. Not only does the electric motion support system open lift systems at a single touch it also closes them at the press of a switch on the inside of the cabinet.

Servo-Drive uno – a plus for waste pull-outs

You want to throw away kitchen waste but you can’t open the pull-out because your hands are full – this is where Blum’s Servo-Drive uno comes in. A single touch suffices (you can also use your hip, knee or foot) and the pull-out seems to open by itself. The individual application consists of a pre-assembled single unit and can also be retrofitted in existing kitchens. The set can be mounted in just a few steps – no need for measuring or drilling.
