WEST KELOWNA, British Columbia — More than a year ago, our CEO, Nick Arkle, advised the board of directors and the owners of the Gorman Group that it was time to begin a "thoughtful and deliberate succession process."

Today, the owners are pleased to announce that Ashlee Cribb will join Gorman Group effective April 1, 2026, and will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer on July 1, 2026, following a three-month transition period working closely with Arkle.

The company says Cribb brings deep experience in the forest products sector across both publicly traded and family-owned enterprises, with particular strengths in strategy, customer development, and value-added growth. She will also work closely with communities, government, and Indigenous partners as the Gorman Group continues to build on the strong relationships that are central to the company’s long- term success. Her leadership will further strengthen the Gorman Group as the company continues to invest for the long term.

At the request of the owners, Arkle will move to non-executive chair of the board. He will continue his involvement with government and Indigenous partnerships and developments at this time to ensure a smooth transition across these critical relationships.

“Nick has provided exceptional leadership to Gorman Group for many years, and the owners are grateful for his continued involvement during this transition,” the owners said in a joint statement. “We are equally pleased to welcome Ashlee to the organization and look forward to the experience and perspective she brings to the company’s next chapter.”

The Gorman Group produces high-quality softwood lumber products, specializing in Spruce-Pine-Fir (SPF) boards, cedar products, and plywood. Their operations, including Gorman Bros. Lumber and Canoe Forest Products, manufacture specialty boards for interior walls, ceilings, and exterior soffits, along with wood chips and shavings.
