ATLANTA - Three woodworkers will don cameras, and stream their experience as attendees at the International Woodworking. These IWF GoPro Guys are wood business owners will shop the show real-time, so everyone can watcch through Facebook's Facetime streaming video application.
The trio will be familiar to the audience of Woodworking Network, as all three are regularly featured online and in print: Corbin Clay, of Azure Furniture in Denver; Jared Patchin of J Alexander Fine Woodworking in Boise; and Ethan Abramson, who operates the eponymous Ethan Abramson, a furniture design and production business in New York.
The Woodworking Network team has been kept busy in the run-up to this year's International Woodworking Fair, producing record-sized issues - including the IWF Show Preview edition - in July and August. Woodworking Network has partnered with IWF show management in sales and development of IWF TV, which will include a daily news and video feed piped to hotels and buses during the show.
Woodworking Network is also producing three, day-long symposia on August 23, just prior to IWF's opening. The symposia cover Finishing, Veneering, and Closets.
As to the GoPro Guys, expect to see even more of them: they were drawn from the ranks of the 2016 Wood Industry 40 Under 40 winners, and will be feted along with 37 of their peers at an awards event August 25 after IWF closes for the day.
