NEWPORT, NC - Entries for the Annual Veneer Tech Craftsman’s Challenge are due June 1.
The international design competition highlights the use of natural wood veneer products in the categories of Architectural Woodworking, Cabinetry, Furniture, Specialty Products, Store Fixtures, and Student Design. The Veneer Tech Craftsman’s Challenge includes all avenues of the woodworking industry, from professionals and students to distributors and sales representatives.
All entries must have been created between January 2009-May 2014 and not previously entered in a Craftsman’s Challenge competition. No entry fees are required, and material need not have been sourced through Veneer Technologies to be eligible.
Winners will be named at the International Woodworking Fair (IWF), August 20-23 in Atlanta, GA, at the Veneer Technologies Booth 2067. A cash award of $3,000 will be given to the creator of the grand prize winning entry. The distributor of the veneer for the grand prize winning entry will be awarded $2,000, and the corresponding distributor salesman will receive $1,000. Other category-winning entries receive $1,000. Non-cash and special awards may be given at the judges’ discretion.
