IRWIN looks for top tradesman to win a Ford F150 truck

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. - IRWIN Tools launched its National Tradesmen Day, an effort to raise awareness and appreciation for trade professionals with a Nominate a Tradesman Contest. Community members throughout North America are invited to nominate themselves, or a tradesperson in their community for the chance to win a new Ford F-150 truck and one of six monthly prizes worth up to $200 in IRWIN Tools.

Last year's IRWIN winner was Jen Netherwood, a carpenter.

"We first launched this contest in 2015 and love that it gives communities an opportunity to join us in celebrating the trade professionals who make a positive difference in each of our lives," said Nick Mastrone, Vice President of Marketing. "IRWIN Tools has always looked for different ways to honor the men and women who play a critical role in building and maintaining our country's infrastructure, beginning with National Tradesmen Day five years ago and now with our nationwide Nominate a Tradesman contest. We look forward to reading the submissions and continuing to celebrate all that trade professionals do to contribute so meaningfully to our lives."

Each month, one nominated tradesperson will be selected to win an IRWIN tool bag with up to $200 in tools. One grand prize winner will receive a 2016 Ford F-150 4x4 SuperCrew Cab Pickup truck, new IRWIN tools and an expense paid trip for two to the IRWIN Nominate a Tradesman crowning ceremony. Nominations must include an essay of up to 500 words stating why the entrant believes they or a tradesperson they know has made a difference in their community.  www.nominateatradesman.com.
