COLOGNE, Germany – interzum, an international trade show for furniture production and interior design, will take place in person in Cologne, Germany, May 9-12, 2023, as well as virtually. With the new slogan “Shaping the Change,” Koelnmesse, organizers of interzum, plan to tackle key issues facing the global economy and industry – sustainability, climate change and resource efficiency.

This year, interzum will debut Neo-ecology as its central theme with the goal of driving focus, conversation and attention to innovative new solutions to help the industry deal with future challenges: how the impacts of megatrends such as digitalization and individualization influence the way we work and live, and how will furniture and interiors need to be designed for living spaces in the future?

Koelnmesse says it expects approximately 1,400 companies from around 60 countries to present new products, technical innovations and material solutions to a global audience at the 2023 event.

But not only can show attendees expect to see innovative products and solutions and discussions of how to prepare for the future - show organizers say the hybrid trade fair experience also offers inspiration.

Themed special events will highlight the industry’s creativity and flexibility. The latest furniture and interior design sector topics will be presented to an international trade audience with reference to key trends in Function & Components, Materials & Nature and Textile & Machinery.

This on-site showcase and program will be enhanced with digital offerings, providing a unique platform on which to present the industry’s latest innovations.
