Flooring association on the move, hosts open house

ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) will host an open house at its new headquarters, located at 14 Research Park Drive, St. Charles, Missouri. The open house is Oct. 11, from 6:00-8:30 p.m., during the group's first annual Leadership Development Summit.

During the open house, NWFA members will be able to tour the state-of-the-art facility which will serve as the central hub for technical training, industry events, and member activities. 

“This move represents the next chapter for the NWFA as we expand our ability to support members and continue driving the wood flooring industry forward,” said NWFA President & CEO Michael Martin. “This open house will provide members with a firsthand look at our new space and the resources we have to support their growth.” The new location in Missouri Research Park, also features walking trails, access to the Missouri River, and proximity to local attractions such as The Bluffs golf course and the Katy Trail, a 240-mile recreational trail for hiking and biking.

Bookending the open house, the NWFA's inaugural Leadership Development Summit, Oct. 10-12 at Live! by Loews – Ballpark Village in St. Louis, offers opportunities for professional growth, networking, and business development. 

As part of the summit, members can attend the Real Answers Small Business Workshop, featuring sessions led by the Small Business Administration on finance, marketing, and operations, along with networking opportunities with industry leaders. Doug Howard of Growth Team Strategies will moderate a panel of successful contractors, including Chris Zizza of C&R Flooring, Steve Brattin of SVB Floors, Kevin Mullany of Benchmark Wood Floors, and John Lessick of Apex Wood Floors, who will share best practices for shaping the future of their companies and the industry.

Another highlight is the Manufacturers Assembly, an industry forum geared towards solid and engineered wood flooring manufacturers, with presentations on challenges and opportunities plus a special focus on leadership. A host of networking events, including the NWFA Education & Research Foundation Golf Tournament, are also planned.
